Self portrait as Medusa, done for an Icon project in 2-D Design, under Donna Wilt at ETSU.
Graphite and watercolors.
The bottom of the mirror reads, "Athena", and the caption is, "Medusa was not made of fear. Man made fear of Medusa." I'm not sure where the quote comes from, and it is possibly misquoted, but I've heard it before, and wanted to use it for this project.
